Pet Food buying online guide
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on 07 28th, 2008| | No Comments »

It’s always been a chore to carry heavy pet supplies home from the store, but with the wonders of the internet it’s no longer necessary to do so. Now, you can sit at your computer, click a few buttons and have the supplies you need sent to your door. What a saving in money for starters – makes it worthwhile paying a small delivery fee when you think about parking costs and the ever rising cost of petrol.

Now shopping at an online pet store isn’t quite like shopping on the high street, you won’t find any bunnies to stop and ooh and ahh over, but you won’t find that dreadful pet shop smell either! Don’t expect to be able to buy your pets here, but do expect to be able to buy pretty much everything else you could possibly want. From pet food, nibbles and toys, to aquariums, terrariums and all other manner of housing for your furry (or otherwise) pets.

There are of course many different online pet food and pet supplies stores that you can shop at. Zooplus is an interesting store where you can find over 5000 pet products available. The store is divided into sections that make sense, so all cat products are grouped together, and all dog products together etc. You can also search the site for specific items if you want to, or you can look for things by product type – like food, or bedding. Look out for special offers at zooplus as well, and also free gifts as they often offer you something free when you spend a certain amount or more.

Another site worthy of a look is Pet Supermarket where they have almost as extensive a range of products available, as well as a puppy club and a kitten club. When you join either of those you are given many things such as money off codes for products, and special offers on items you may find useful for your young pet. They also offer a price promise which makes them incredibly good value, and also free delivery when you spend more than £39. Oh, and if you join their newsletter, you can also get 5% off everything you buy with them too!

Pets2home is a good place if you want information as well as products as they have a section where you can see what a vet says about various concerns you might have. They also have a points system where when you shop with them you build up points to use next time. They also have some really good competitions on the site at times too which are worth keeping an eye open for.

Pet Planet has a vast range of items for sale and you even get a free breed book with every order too. Laid out nicely this shop is easy to use, and they have a lot of additional features as well like their own forum for pet owners.

No matter which of these or the many other online pet supplies stores you use, you will probably find you’ve an even larger range of products to choose from than you would have in your local pet store, and of course as I mentioned at the beginning, you won’t have to carry any of it home. Don’t forget to look out for shopping voucher codes too as many pet supplies shops have these available.

Lingerie buying guide
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on 07 28th, 2008| | No Comments »

There are many really nice online Lingerie stores today, and what’s more, they generally carry a much wider range than the high street stores do because they don’t have to have lots of space to display everything. This of course means that you and I get a better selection of goodies to choose from, and of course with lower overheads, many of these online stores can keep their prices down as well making them cheaper than their high street counterparts too.

Figleaves is probably one of the most well known online underwear stores, and it is a good one too. They have a really wide selection of bras, knickers, swimwear, sleepwear and other underwear garments to choose from and many of them are exclusive to figleaves so you won’t find them anywhere else. The store is laid out in a very simple way making it super easy to find what you’re looking for, and you can easily select for size and colour to give you a selection that is closer to your ideal search.

Another well known underwear store online is La Senza. Dividing their store into bras, DD+ bras, knickers, nightwear, beach, leisurewear, accessories, activewear, maternity, cosmetics, for men, and special offers, you can see that although La Senza specialise in lingerie, they do have a few extras on the site to offer people. Their men’s section is much smaller than their women’s hence it being sectioned off on it’s own, having said that, they do have some very nice men’s undies on there. The activewear section is the newest part of the site and has a small but really good quality selection of fitness wear clothing.

A third site that is well worth a look, and particularly if you are a lady needing a larger size bra, is Bravissimo who specialise in larger cup sizes and who have been instrumental in getting many of the manufacturers to produce these larger sizes by proving to them that there is a market for them. They have a large range of bras and bra and knicker sets available, as well as swimwear and a small selection of tops that have been specially designed for women who have a larger bust size – they term it being curvy or super curvy.

All these sites and many more out there between them offer excellent choice, and it’s always worth searching to see if you can find any discount codes or voucher codes to use when shopping with them as this can help reduce the costs considerably.

Mobile Phone Offers
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on 07 10th, 2008| | No Comments »

There are a lot of places on the internet where you can buy a mobile phone these days. Makers of handsets like Samsung, Nokia etc. all have their own sites, and so do all the service providers like 02, Virgin, and T-Mobile. These big companies are worth visiting because they have buying power, they can afford to buy many more phones at one time meaning that they can get them cheaper and then pass that saving on to you.

Of course this doesn’t always mean that they will offer you the best deal. Buying from Virgin will mean that you’ll be tied in to a service from them, and buying from Nokia well, you’ll only get to choose from Nokia handsets. This means that it’s worth looking at companies who aren’t linked specifically to one brand or provider. This is particularly true these days as there are many deals available where you can get freebies with the phone deal.

Freebies with phone deals can come in all sorts of ways. Some deals give you a free item like a laptop or a gaming computer when you buy a specific phone and package deal for 12, 18 or even 24 months. Then there is another sort where you get cashback. This can be in the form of a smaller amount when you take up the offer and send off some details, or a larger amount spread over the length of the contract when you send off details at specific intervals along the way. Some of these deals are very good indeed, but you do have to meet specific requirements in order to claim them. e2save is a good example of a site that has a large number of these deals available. Two other sites worth looking at for this sort of thing are Carphone Warehouse and Dial A Phone.

As well as all these individual sites, it can also be worth looking at sites such as USwitch. This sort of site is designed to help you to find the best deal possible based on what you want, and although they don’t have all the internet stores listed, they do have quite a large variety of them. They also let you put in a variety of information such as handset, type of tariff, and your budget and then will give you a list of deals and where they can be got from so that you can then look at them all in more detail.

Childrens Toys Buying Online Guide
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on 07 8th, 2008| | No Comments »

We all know where to look on the high street these days – and if we don’t then the kids will soon lead us there, but hunting for toys on the internet means doing it yourself rather than following the straining reigns of a small child – lets face it sometimes we want to do the shopping in peace! So what’s out there in the world that’s at our fingertips through the keyboard?

Many of the high street shops have their own stores online, such as Toys R Us who have the same selections online as in store. They also have an online branch of their Babies R Us division too. Argos is another high street store that’s available online too, and again you will find much the same products on their website as in store. In fact, with Argos, you can even order online for collection in store if you want to – makes the shopping trip easier as there’s little queuing involved, just stroll in to the collection desk and pick up your items. Another shop not to be forgotten is ELC (The Early Learning Centre), which is another of the high street stores that has an online branch as well. The Early Learning Centre specialises in toys that are educational and which help with development of children’s skills, although don’t be misled into thinking that this means they only sell boring toys, there are many interesting and innovative toys to be had here.

There are also many toy stores online that either aren’t available on the high street, or who maybe only have one or two branches so aren’t very well known. Amongst these are places like Kiddiecare who are an excellent online shop with a really wide range of products. They even offer a price match policy that’s excellent! If you find the same product available anywhere else within 7 days of purchase, they’ll not only refund the difference, but they will also give you an extra 5% back too. Hasbro is another site which has a really good range. They divide their site into age groups making it really easy for you to search just the area you want to be looking in. They also offer free delivery on all orders over £25.

Toy Shop UK is a site where you can search for many more toyshops. They allow free advertising for all independent UK toy shops, they do however have many shops listed which are available in the high street only, so it can be a little frustrating sometimes.

letterbox is another site which can only be found online. It specialises in educational toys and the website is cleverly designed so that you can look at the type of skill you want to encourage such as maths or logic, arts and crafts, or geography. They sell some lovely items and things kids will really enjoy while they learn.

If you’re looking for more traditional toys, then toyday.co.uk is a good place to look. From spinning tops and puppets, wooden puzzle games, marbles, through to construction kits and learning to knit sets. You’re not likely to find Barbie or the Fimbles in this toy shop, but lots of old favourites instead.

Don’t forget where ever you decide to do your toy shopping, it’s always worth checking to see if there are any money off codes available for use in the shops you’re looking in. Sometimes you can find the same toy in a couple of different places, but with a voucher code, it will make one of them worth choosing over the other in order to save you money.
