La Redoute is a catalogue website; it sells mostly clothes, but also has a section on home ware where they sell bed linen and towels, furniture, throws, tableware etc. The site is divided up into sections, Ladies, Men’s, Children, Lingerie, Sport & Home ware. Within each section there are further divisions to make it easier to find what you are looking for. You can also do a direct search for an item, or even use a catalogue code to find something online that you’ve already seen in one of their paper catalogues. Each item has clear pictures showing what it looks like, and clearly marked prices. You select the size you want and add the item to your shopping basket. When you pay, you have various options; Personal Account, or Pay when you Order. Personal Account means that you basically open a catalogue account with La Redoute, and then you get up to 52 days from date of purchase to pay for your items in exactly the same way as you would with a traditional catalogue. Pay when you order means just that. You place your order, and pay with your card at that point as you do with most websites. Regardless of which payment option you go with, you can then pay using Visa, MasterCard, Delta, Switch, Maestro and Solo. Postage and packing costs £3.45 regardless of what you order.
