La Senza Online

La Senza is an online shop that specialises in lingerie, although they do a little nightwear and swimwear as well.  They don’t stock menswear or kidswear, only ladieswear.  You can search by size, or browse by style or by type.  They aren’t as good as some lingerie places in terms of the different sizes that they do, seeming to only really cover cup sizes AA to F, and back sizes 30-38 in bras and they do sizes 06 to 20 in nightwear etc., but they do have a pretty wide range of styles available, and they’re prices aren’t too bad either especially as they seem to have lots of sales and even when they don’t have a sale on, there’s often some nice items in their clearance section or their special offers section.

One very nice feature at La Senza is that they offer a free gift card and gift wrapping when you order (you do have to place separate orders for things if you want multiple cards and gift-wrapping though).  They also have details on the site of their stores around the country, which can be useful if you need to go in to check a size or something.

Delivery costs are £2.95 for UK standard delivery (3-5 working days).  This is free if you spend over £35 or £7.95 for UK express delivery (next day if order is placed before 12 noon).  Express delivery is free if you spend over £100.  Payment can be made by MasterCard, Visa, Duet, Delta, Switch, Solo, American Express and Diners Club International, and VAT is included in the prices making it easy to see what you’re going to be paying.  Returns policy appears to be pretty standard, there are one or two items that due to hygiene reasons can only be returned if faulty, but that’s pretty normal with this sort of product.  Items can also be returned to the stores as well as by post as long as you print the right information off to take with you.

La Senza have a sizing guide on the site to help you know what size is going to be right for you, and they also have a size comparison chart so you can see what say a size 12 in UK sizing is in USA, European, French, Italian or Australian sizing. They do this for bras, and also for briefs/swimwear as well.  There is also a fabric guide on there, where it tells you what some of the different fabrics are actually comprised of which is also quite a nice touch.

La Senza is a fairly simple site, easy to use, and great if you want pretty underwear in the size ranges that they cover.  Definitely a no go however if you’re a larger lady or if you have a bigger bust.  Good for men who want to buy their lady something special and who know her size too.
